GURNEY PARAGON MALL HAS UNLEASHED THE GIGANTIC TRANSFORMERS IN PENANG
Early this morning, Gurney Paragon Mall has unleashed the gigantic Transformers, namely Optimus Prime and Bumblebee at its main atrium from 9 June 2014 until 13 July 2014. Being popular icons for blockbusters and toys for the last 3 decades, Hasbro kicked-off the “Thrilling 30th Anniversary” to celebrate the Transformers brand legacy all around the world.
In line with the celebration, Gurney Paragon Mall is proud to present to you for the very first time in Penang, the giant Autobots featuring the 23’ Optimus Prime and 17’ Bumblebee.
At the same time, Bumblebee’s disguise as the legendary yellow Chevrolet’s Camaro, the special edition performance car which has both style and power, was also on display. You can check out the cool exterior and interior of the stylish sport car.
The event was launched by Hunza Properties Bhd’s Executive Chairman, Dato’ Khor Teng Tong, by starting the engine of the limited edition Chevrolet Camaro. “For the very first time in Penang, the giants’ robots are unleashed at Gurney Paragon Mall and we are thrilled to share this celebration with the fans in Malaysia and around the region. The Transformers is a pop culture phenomenon with millions of fans all over the world. We believe this international event will help to add vibrancy into the tourism sector and solidify Penang as an exciting tourism destination,” remarked Ms. Khor Tze Ming, Group Executive Director of Hunza Properties (M) Sdn Bhd.
Furthermore, there will be a showcase of Transformers collectibles and toy fair during the 30th Anniversary campaign. Fans and shoppers can view the Transformers action figurines in various shapes and sizes and shop for their favorite toys character merchandise. Besides the display of the two giant Autobots at the atrium of Gurney Paragon Mall, shoppers can have the photo opportunity with the 7’ high Optimus Prime and Bumblebee respectively, located at Level 8 (in front of TGV ticket counters) for free, courtesy of TGV Cinemas.
To get the exclusive opportunity to have your photos taken with the gigantic Autobots, shoppers can redeem an exclusive photo opportunity with the Optimus Prime or Bumblebee with a spending of RM200 and above in a single receipt. Professional photography service will be available on the spot to provide their expertise. Alternatively, fans of Transformers can take photo with EITHER ONE of the giant robots at RM38 or pay RM88 to have the ultimate photo opportunity with ALL the main highlights such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and the Chevrolet Camaro. A 4R photo would be produced, inclusive a CD hardcopy and handed over to the photograph owner within the next 30 minutes to an hour.
To make the event more fun-filled, social media fans can take part in the selfie contest organized by Gurney Paragon Mall in Facebook or Instagram. The winners will stand a chance to win attractive Transformers merchandise worth more than RM3000.
