A SMART FAMILY IS A WEALTHY FAMILY

Written by crizlai on May 13th, 2010 | Filed under: family, insurance, life, rant, tips

HAPPYFAMILY

Why would I say that a smart family would be a family that would be wealthy? It’s surely not for the present but for the future of the generations to come. It’s the family financial planning which most of us are rather stressed with, considering the headaches one would have in planning what to spend, when to spend, where to spend and how to spend wisely.

Family financial planning should not be something to fear of. It’s a matter of getting into the habits of controlling your spending habits, both for your short term as well as long term goals.

One of the great ways to reduce your stress and have a satisfying family life would be by having the whole life insurance coverage. Not only would you efficiently prepare for the future as you family members grow older, it would also be a great way to provide some financial freedom in times of emergencies. Remember well that the younger one starts to get himself insured, the lesser annual premium one needs to pay. So, do plan wisely for the future of your family.

IT IS TIME FOR ANOTHER GREAT JAPANESE FOOD FEASTING

COUNTERDISPLAY

Japanese cuisine has always been my favorite especially those unique seafood flown in from Japan. During one of my visits to one of the major Japanese restaurants over here, I saw some colorful brochures being arranged systematically over their counter displays. Gosh! That approximately 1kg Asahi Kani (crab) is huge. Never have I seen something so big and delicious in my life. With that size, I would think that there would be a lot of chunky crab meat to meet with my appetite.

They were also some red and juicy Aka Ebi (red prawns) being promoted too. Just look at the freshness of the prawns. I’ll bet 10 prawns would not be enough for me. Hmm… maybe I should order some vegetable tempura and sushi as well.

As for dessert, you should try out the tempura ice cream. During each of my visit there, I would not miss this dish. It had a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream, coated with crushed peanuts, dipped into tempura batter and deep fried until perfection. This cold and hot dessert would then be garnished with some sweetened red bean paste. One bite and I can assure you that you would want more. Speaking about how good it is, I think I would just drive over there now to savor my favorite dessert.

ENJOYING COMFORTABLY OUTDOOR

With the current heat wave striking this part of the world, having a poolside party would be a great way to chill out. There would be no better way to combine cooling off and having fun with friends and family by the poolside while enjoying the luxurious cuisine that you had prepared for them. You can go for that Hawaiian theme where everyone would be dressed in their best swim suits or Bermudas.

To make your pool party unique and memorable for your guests, do plan some activities that would ensure that everyone would get wet. LOL! Well, just make sure you did put that small clause down in your invitation cards to avoid any disputes. Haha!

To start off, you can always fill your pool with plastic balls with some hidden logos. Kids as well as grownups can dive into the pool to retrieve them. Towards the end of the fun filled activity, a small reward can be given to each winner. The prize can be anything from candies to holiday trips depending on your budget. You might even consider dividing your guests into different teams and ask them to come out with their best synchronized swimming. This is going to be fun to watch them in their most hilarious moments. Don’t forget to video those happy moments.

I’m sure you would have some elderly folks in the guest list. You can always set up a nice and strategic corner for them filled with some comfortable outdoor cushions. Do prepare some playing cards or even mahjong sets for them to get the best out of the party. This is definitely the most enjoyable moment in their lives.

MY BILL PAYMENT DATE IS GETTING NEAR

Written by crizlai on Mar 3rd, 2010 | Filed under: cards, life, rant

Having a credit card has become a norm in most households as holding a credit card is the ideal way of not carrying too much cash around. If managed properly, it can also be a valuable tool to assist your finances in time of great needs. It is real useful when traveling overseas as you do not have to worry about changing your cash into foreign currencies. The card issuer will do all the necessary conversions for you and the best part is that your purchase will only appear in your credit card statement a month later.

Nowadays, applying a card can be quite a headache with so many banks offering many different types of attractions. It would be a hassle to hop in all the banks to check on the best offer they have in store for you. Getting the best credit card would be great especially when you need to settle some of your bill payments urgently.

Just like in my case when I had many ongoing projects awaiting payments, thus not having much cash in hand to settle some of the utility bills that needed the immediate attention, the credit card saved my day. The most wonderful thing about the credit card I owned is that it has the best cash back reward on the market. I indeed save quite a substantial amount of money. Isn’t that what you would want too?

THE COLDNESS FROM THE ICE CREAM IS KILLING ME

Written by crizlai on Mar 3rd, 2010 | Filed under: awareness, beauty, life, migraine, rant

I have been yearning for some cold treats for some time now but the problem is I’m still afraid of the head pounding pain I will have as before after consuming the delicious and creamy ice cream. I have checked my tooth frequently and they seemed to look fine. I suspect that there is a hairline crack somewhere hidden within the two rows of teeth that made me suffer each time a mouthful of cold stuff passed through them.

Can you imagine the pain having a screw drilled into your gums, triggering neck pain, swollen eyes and a migraine all at the same time? The pain is unbearable even with the help of some pain killers easily available off the shelves.

I better seek the advice of a professional dentist soon or else I won’t be able to enjoy those cold and sweet treats anymore. At the same time, I hope I can get some of those crooked teeth aligned well. They made me look so fragile and unconfident in myself. My life has been without much smile due to the inferior complex in me. Let’s hope the Plano dentist will help me gain my confidence further.
