OH NO! NOT AGAIN!

“… I hate my life as I was never happy and I don’t feel like waking up anymore in the morning. There was nothing else to look forward to as everyone who saw me called me ugly. Most of the time, I would consider suicide just to end all these stresses and word abuses…”

Believe it or not, that statement has been influencing the minds of many adolescents from all over the world just because they could not handle their acne problems. In a research by conducted by a university, it was found that 34% of young people with acne issues had thoughts of killing themselves while 13% had attempted suicide. At this age, image and identity plays an important role in their lives. Any adverse psychological effects would pose a danger and a risk of them committing stupid acts when they are so hard hit by their so called inferior complex.

I just wondered why they are feeling so stressed out when there are so many acne treatments out there to solve their problems. This is just another phase of growing up and everyone tends to face it at one time or another through their journey in life. Acne problems are just like any other dermal problems as they would need time to heal and you can’t expect them to just disappear overnight. All you need is the determination and courage to face them. After all, aren’t both factors part of our life training to move forward to become successful in the future?

THE NUMBER ONE PHOBIA IN OUR LIVES

ACNEPHOBIA

What would you think would be the number one phobia, especially amongst the teenagers? I guessed most people would relate that to social phobia. You are not wrong either if you had acne as your initial answer. Through years of research by a few reputable organizations, it has been found that those who suffered serious acne problems tend to show a higher anxiety and depression levels. Thus, there would be more concern about self-esteem and self-image amongst those affected.

With a society that would take heed on the imperfection of another due to the looks, many acne problem individuals had fallen into the grasp of anxiety. Therefore, it would have a great impact on their lives, resulting in social phobia and social withdrawal. If this problem persisted, it would affect such person his or her entire life.

Acne problems should not be taken as a life threatening problem. It could be treated easily by getting the right acne skin treatment. There are many products available off the counter for milder cases while those with serious acne problems could consult the nearest treatment centers. The most important part of preventing acne would be by keeping your skin free from dirt, dead skin and oil. You could consider getting the right cleanser, exfoliate, toner and moisturizer for your skin. Do seek the right consultant for this purpose.

A GREAT WAY TO PAMPER YOURSELF AT HOME

HOMESEATS

The local Internet Service Provider (ISP) has been having some server issues for the past two weeks and browsing through some websites has been extremely slow. Needless to say, I even had problems accessing to my own websites. Instead of banging my head against the monitor and screaming for help trying to get all my online work done, I had decided to relax myself from getting more stress due to the internet access issues. What would be the next alternative when you have a bad connection issue? I would just laze in front of the TV, catching up with those movies that I had missed.

But then, what’s the point having the best HDTV Home Theater System at home when I can’t even have the full comfort to relax myself? I would love to pamper myself by lying on my sofa but it did hinder my other family members from utilizing it. To sit upright all the time indeed gave me more discomforts. I will need to get some solutions now but could I do? Should I buy more sofas for the living room should I get some bean bags to throw around my rugged areas?

Hmm… Why my neighbor never complained about the connection issues even though his whole family members were heavy internet users? They do look as relax as ever. Could it be the home theater seating he had purchased recently? I really had to go over now ask them about their secret. Gosh! Those chairs are darn comfortable! Not only was I able to relax fully on the soft cushions it has, I can even adjust it to a position that I would feel comfortable in. With his assurance that I would not have any regrets purchasing one, I’m surely going to head down town now to book my orders. Maybe I would just get the whole set for every single members of my family. They ought to have the comfort in life as well.

Wow! I have been feasting on all the wonderful food around that I had totally ignored my weight gain. How could anyone suppress the temptation of great food served on the table? The worst case was that I had been sitting and eating all day long without even pushing myself to the gym to burn some fat off my ever expanding body size.

Suddenly, I remembered what my cardiologist friend told me earlier, “If one day you stood up straight and look down for your toe lines and could not find them, it’s time for you to lose some weight as there would be a silent killer hidden inside you that would strike you anytime when you least expect it.”

Gosh! Does that mean that I would be struck with a heart attack if I did not watch my diet carefully and shred those wobbling belly of mine? Argh! This is hell to me as the Good CART (Cocaine Amphetamine Regulatory Transcript) and Evil NPY (Neuropetide-Y) are fighting in my brains now trying to conquer my food intake. I love eating and diet means refusing my ever yearning appetite for good food but then I also should not ignore the advice of my doctor friend. Somebody please get me a bottle of appetite suppressant now before I finished off that large bucket of yummy butter caramel coated popcorn of mine!

Note: Cocaine Amphetamine Regulatory Transcript (CART) is the brain signals for you stop eating and increase metabolism while Neuropetide-Y (NPY) is a stress hormone that decreases metabolism and increase appetites, as stress tends to do

PESKY ACNES PLEASE GO AWAY!

I was not the perfect health recently and I get even more stressful when one of my pets was done with one weird sickness that caused her to grow a few soft like horns on her forehead. She’s only 9 months old and she should not be facing this type of skin disorder. With all the running about in the humid tropical weather to get the best treatment for her, I realized that I’m beginning to have some sore spots on my face. It’s a sign of getting acne and I dread having those pesky little red spots all over my face.

I was wondering if it has to do with my stress level. Each time I get stressed out with problems surrounding my daily life, those acnes would suddenly pop up on my face mysteriously. I do not know if there has been proven research that stress would cause acne but it did happen in my case.

I was contemplating whether to try out some of those homemade remedies for acne. They might be cheap but I was having the fear that it might worsen my acnes problem as there was no medical proof that it would not have side effects. I guessed I better seek the advice of the professionals to be on the safe side. There are certain things in life you just can’t be frugal, especially any facial problems. Let me get the contact of the nearest acne treatment clinic to make the appointment now.
