HOW LASTING ARE YOUR CASTERS?

Written by crizlai on Mar 10th, 2011 | Filed under: accessories, home, living, product, rant, tips

CASTERS

Sometimes you might ask yourself about the quality of your furniture. You paid a bomb for them and yet you don’t see them last as long as you would have expected. The reason behind this is that most of them are manufactured in mass and they do not really provide you with super quality parts, unless you are willing to purchase those custom-made ones with high soaring prices.

Just ask yourself on one scenario. How often do you need to change your furniture casters or perhaps caster brakes? Are they made of high quality that you do not need to worry about them getting spoiled that soon or ever? If I were you, I rather go for the ones with great standard that would get rid of any future stress. There are many great companies out there that produce quality casters in different sizes and shapes, may they be caster brakes, caster wheels, furniture casters or even rigid plate casters. Do find one that would suit your needs.

Many people could not differentiate between a caster and a wheel as most of the time they refer it as the same. In fact, there’s a vast differences. A wheel is referred as a round rubber ball like object that would be able to roll whereas a caster is a wheel which is attached to a bracket (caster bracket) where it is able to swivel 360 degrees. Normally, each set would have a lock.

A WEDDING TO REMEMBER FOREVER

WEDDINGVENUE

Some time back last year, I received a registered mail addressed to my name. Upon opening up the mail, I saw a nicely designed wedding invitation card of Joe and Jenny. Finally, those two had decided to tie the knot after being engaged for two years. Time really flew very fast. At that moment, I thought it was another of those hotel receptions where buffet was served towards the end of the couple’s declaration. I was in for a surprise when I saw the venue on the card, “pack your best dress/suit and two days of luggage, you’d be driven to a private reception.” What? I have always known them as an outgoing and adventurous couple but this was something I had not expected from them. I loved surprises and this was one wedding that I would surely not miss out.

On that appointed date, I got my friend to drop me off at Joe’s house. Upon arriving, there was already a big crowd on the charted double decked bus. Sam was there, so were practically the whole university mates of ours. It was like another reunion for us. We departed from Columbia and headed for Duck Village along the southern shores of North Carolina. The sceneries throughout the journey were something I would not forget for ages. We were brought to an oceanfront palatial estate, Royal Caribbean II, a one of a kind luxurious, accommodation in an exclusive community setting. Everyone was dumbfounded by the beauty of the whole setting. There were 8 master suites with private baths, exquisite great room and regal grand dining with unprecedented ocean views on top of all the state-of-the art gadgets scattered all around the abode. There were also rooms for electronic games, billiard tables, ping pong tables and wide screen theatre setting, not forgetting a bunch of outdoor sports you can play with.

Wow! I was as if in my own dream home. I could not resist being pampered in the pool with built-in hot tub, stone fireplace while being blown away with the soothing pool side music. Being the non-traditionalists, I would not have expected that I would be so privileged to be invited to such an exclusive vacation with the wedding couple. It was one of the most comfortable and laid-back weddings I had ever attended. The wedding ceremony was simple but filled with lots of meanings for the couple as they had us, their families and friends, to be there, to appreciate the relationships we had throughout our knowing of each other, and to acknowledge their happiness as a truly wedded couple. There no denying that they had made a right choice by engaging an all inclusive wedding packages that not only would remain in their memories for a lifetime but ours as well.

I MIGHT NEED TO FLUSH SOME FAT OUT

COLONCLEANSE

I have been consuming too much of good food recently and it had shown quite obviously through my waist line. That would surely not be a great sign to be in great shape. Sickness would indeed hit me when I least expected. It could well be a great blow to my future. I think it’s about time I go on a strict diet plan but would that alone help me to stay healthy always? I’m not sure about that. I might need to try other alternatives as well to ensure that I would always have an energetic life and a strong immune system.

Should I go for a colon cleansing product? The Ancient Egyptians and Greeks had used alternative medical therapy to remove feces and nonspecific toxins from the colon and intestinal tract. It was believed that toxins from your gastrointestinal tract can cause a variety of health problems. By getting rid of the toxins, it would somehow help in promoting better health. Thus, it would also reduce some weights in the long run. I was kind of skeptical how this method of detoxification would help me since there are a few methods involved in colon cleanse, by special equipments through hydrotherapy or in form of dietary supplements.

Somehow by checking through one of the recommended colon cleanse product in the market, I found out that the latter method seemed to be well accepted by the public. That product has one major ingredient that I have heard so much about – Psyllium Husks. Originated from the India and Pakistan region, these husks had higher fiber content than oat bran. The husks are soluble and would enhance the lipid and sugar levels in the blood. Therefore, it would effectively helps in reducing the body weight. Cool! That should be great for some weight loss now.

QUEUING UP AT A PAYING COUNTER WITH EASE

PAYCOUNTER

Tap… tap… tap… tap… tap… ka… chink… Can you still remember how dreadful it was to go groceries shopping during peak periods in the old days? Those were the sound of the old cash register being manned by a weary looking cashier. I can imagine the stress the cashier would be in each day, having to manually key in the price of each items, especially those with huge purchases. It might be quite a norm then but still most customers do not have the patience to be caught in tens of minutes of long queues.

Today, with the foresight of good customer relationship companies, more counters are being opened up to ease the queues. Moreover, barcodes are so widely used on all products now to lessen the input time. All the cashier need is a POSGUYS to send the data into the system to be computed on the receipt with the total amount needed to pay. It’s as simple as that.

With the advancement of technology, more people would have saved up a great deal of time. Thus, life can be less stressful. More time can be spent with your loved ones to nurture a closer relationship.

GETTING OLD CAN BE EXPENSIVE WITH NO HELP AROUND

BSNONLINE

As time passes by swiftly by the winks of many blinks, you can actually feel that the body clock is deteriorating much faster than ever each day. Physically and mentally, you would get more illness cruelly hitting hard on you. Your senses would begin to show signs of failing. Your medical bills would hit high on the ceiling. If you are rich, these problems would not be a problem at all as you can seek many alternatives with your richness. The worst scenario would be to be sent to the Home for the Aged to settle all your “inconveniences” by just paying a lump sum of money. Thus, there’s the lack of personal contact with the ones who had undyingly loved you from the start of your birth into the world. All they would get would be a few hours daily of visit from their personal helper.

Unfortunately, a large number of the elderly would not fall into this category of the rich and famous. They have to spend their lifetime earnings to fend for themselves. Medications, supplements, vitamins or even frequent visits to the doctors are not costing any much lesser nowadays. The amount spent in keeping the body in the best of health can be quite a surprise. How great it would be if any member of the family is in the nursing line. He or she could at least have the necessary experiences in caring and nursing any elderly members in the family within the best of their knowledge.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), one would provide scientific, psychological, and technological knowledge in the care of patients and/or families in many health care settings. It would even be better if one were to possess a B.Sc (Nursing) which could easily be achieved through any of the bsn online programs available out there. Don’t you think that it would be so ideal to have someone so qualified who has gone through bsn online around to empathize along with you through old age?
