BUFFETSPREAD

Devil: Oooo… look at all those delicious and succulent dishes on the buffet spread. Let’s jump in and gobble everything up like there’s no tomorrow.

Angel: Errr… I will forgo your wild food expedition this time, Devil. I have put on so much weight tagging along with you all these while.

Devil: Why worry now Angel? Savor the best while you can. You won’t get to have hot sizzling grills and fresh seafood spreads on your buffet line all the time. Gosh! Look at that giant roasted lamb leg! Slurps~

Angel: Stop tempting me Devil! You are making my saliva dripping endlessly!

Devil: Abalone salad! Prawn cocktail! Grill cod fish! Salmon sushi! Black Pepper beef steak! Roasted duck! This roasted duck is real good. You want a bite, Angel?

Angel: Arghh! See No Evil! Hear No Evil! Eat No Evil!

Devil: Come on Angel. A little bite won’t make you grow fat. Hehehe…

Angel: No! You have your natural sauna down there to help you trim down. All I have up there are blue skies and natural cool air. Just look at the layers of my belly fat now! I looked so unhealthy!

Devil: LOL! That’s your problem. Who ask you to eat lavishly and never go for any exercise? I run a lot all over the world creating mischief and havocs. You just sit up there waiting for the human to cry for help. Isn’t that the results of your inactiveness?

Angel: Errr…

Devil: Come on. Forget about all those dieting and join me in this feasting. Worst come to worst, I’ll just get you some weight loss products to help you lose weight.

Angel: Hmm… Ok! Let’s hit the buffet line. Just make sure you keep to your promise and get me those products. I don’t want to turn obese or it would be harder for me to move about to clean up your messes.

FEELING COMFORTABLE AT HOME

HOMESEAT

Do you know why most of the time I would rather stay at home to watch DVD movies rather than to visit the cinemas? Most people would say that I’m crazy to stay home to watch outdated movies but I don’t mind at all. There’s one main reason which I dread visiting the cinema. It’s the theater seating space. There were hardly any extra spaces for leg and elbow movements unless I get the premier class seats which would cost almost double the ticket price. Moreover, I always ended up with back pains after each movie.

Staying in the comfort of my living room by lying on my lovely home theater seating has never been more pleasing. I get to adjust my seat to be in such a position that there were no longer any strains to my spine. On top of that, there’s the leg rest that made my legs align well with my body.

Although there’s a small price to pay to own these great seating but being comfortable is more important to bargain for. It’s one investment that you would not regret for your whole life.

IT IS TIME FOR ANOTHER GREAT JAPANESE FOOD FEASTING

COUNTERDISPLAY

Japanese cuisine has always been my favorite especially those unique seafood flown in from Japan. During one of my visits to one of the major Japanese restaurants over here, I saw some colorful brochures being arranged systematically over their counter displays. Gosh! That approximately 1kg Asahi Kani (crab) is huge. Never have I seen something so big and delicious in my life. With that size, I would think that there would be a lot of chunky crab meat to meet with my appetite.

They were also some red and juicy Aka Ebi (red prawns) being promoted too. Just look at the freshness of the prawns. I’ll bet 10 prawns would not be enough for me. Hmm… maybe I should order some vegetable tempura and sushi as well.

As for dessert, you should try out the tempura ice cream. During each of my visit there, I would not miss this dish. It had a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream, coated with crushed peanuts, dipped into tempura batter and deep fried until perfection. This cold and hot dessert would then be garnished with some sweetened red bean paste. One bite and I can assure you that you would want more. Speaking about how good it is, I think I would just drive over there now to savor my favorite dessert.

WELCOME TO MY NEW SANCTUARY

RUGSMATS

Do you know how you could enhance the feel in a new environment when you have quite a few antique pieces that you had collected during the past years? Antique collection can be a fun and fashionable pastime but most of the time we have the tendency to collect so many that they made the whole place looked too cluttered. Well, this might make your visitors quite unimpressed if you do not have any idea of blending them off with some relevant furniture and fitting.

Since most of these antiques would be in darker shades, it would be advisable to paint the walls in lighter shades and complement them with some pastel shades curtains and upholstery as these would be great canvas for antiques. Some cleverly placed mini spotlights would indeed be ideal and inexpensive for some effective accent lighting.

Complimenting colored rugs and door mats would surely blend in real well with your antiques collections. Do get some that are durable, resilient and resistant to soil and abrasion. These minor touches would be the perfect finishes for your decorative scheme and furniture style.

ENJOYING COMFORTABLY OUTDOOR

With the current heat wave striking this part of the world, having a poolside party would be a great way to chill out. There would be no better way to combine cooling off and having fun with friends and family by the poolside while enjoying the luxurious cuisine that you had prepared for them. You can go for that Hawaiian theme where everyone would be dressed in their best swim suits or Bermudas.

To make your pool party unique and memorable for your guests, do plan some activities that would ensure that everyone would get wet. LOL! Well, just make sure you did put that small clause down in your invitation cards to avoid any disputes. Haha!

To start off, you can always fill your pool with plastic balls with some hidden logos. Kids as well as grownups can dive into the pool to retrieve them. Towards the end of the fun filled activity, a small reward can be given to each winner. The prize can be anything from candies to holiday trips depending on your budget. You might even consider dividing your guests into different teams and ask them to come out with their best synchronized swimming. This is going to be fun to watch them in their most hilarious moments. Don’t forget to video those happy moments.

I’m sure you would have some elderly folks in the guest list. You can always set up a nice and strategic corner for them filled with some comfortable outdoor cushions. Do prepare some playing cards or even mahjong sets for them to get the best out of the party. This is definitely the most enjoyable moment in their lives.
