HAPPYFAMILY

Why would I say that a smart family would be a family that would be wealthy? It’s surely not for the present but for the future of the generations to come. It’s the family financial planning which most of us are rather stressed with, considering the headaches one would have in planning what to spend, when to spend, where to spend and how to spend wisely.

Family financial planning should not be something to fear of. It’s a matter of getting into the habits of controlling your spending habits, both for your short term as well as long term goals.

One of the great ways to reduce your stress and have a satisfying family life would be by having the whole life insurance coverage. Not only would you efficiently prepare for the future as you family members grow older, it would also be a great way to provide some financial freedom in times of emergencies. Remember well that the younger one starts to get himself insured, the lesser annual premium one needs to pay. So, do plan wisely for the future of your family.

CAREERBACKUP

Do you realize that most people would just go on living on a daily basis without considering having any backup plan in case something suddenly went wrong in their career? Most people would be in such a comfort zone that they would think that they are in dispensable in their organization. Nothing would be permanent. Your organization might be very stable and would not ever retrench you but towards the end of the day, you might feel that such routine job seemed to get boring day after day. You wanted a change but even if you do so, would your qualification find you a job that would add a little more life than what you had experienced before?

Finding a new job or careers that would suit you might not be so simple after all if you do not have the necessary qualifications or skills. It would even be harder if the economy were not good at that time and only the top of the cream personnel would be employed. What’s the best way to ascertain that you will build your career well in another career? The answer is simple. You learn more in your spare time. Do gather as much experience, knowledge and skills that are related directly or indirectly to your qualification. In short, it’s your backup plan to excel in another field of work.

A rich man once told me that he got richer each day was not because of his inheritance. He grew rich because he had work diligently in all the industries that he had ever stepped foot in and combined all their marketing strategies. Those careers he had gone through made him a better person to understand the market needs and wants more. Thus, he was able to tap the market and gain the most out of it.

Everyone has two choices in life… you either design your life with good careers to achieve your dreams or you just stay in the comfort zone to realize someone else’s dreams. It’s your choice.

KOOZIES

Some time in your life, you might directly or indirectly involve in some kind of business. It might be small or in a larger scale but how are you going to promote your products or services to the public? One thing for sure, not everything would be free to help you push up your sales. You would somehow need to foot some amount of effort and cash to boost it up. Let’s just look at some of the ways you can promote sales with minimal or no expenditure below.

Firstly, you have to know that visuals would have a better convincing power than speech or words. Try using some of the free blog setup such as Blogger or WordPress to set up your blog. It’s easy to use and free of course to certain extent. As you know, photos do play an important role here. Upload as many photos as you can with minimal descriptions. If someone is interested in what you have to offer, they would surely contact you for further information. Try to exchange links too as that would be a good way to gain unique visitors to your site.

Next would be to write a press release and send to all of your known local media companies. This might be hard for some if you do not have any close contacts with those reporters but again there would be no harm in trying your luck for the additional promotions.

There are many free social network websites that you can use to promote your company, namely FaceBook and so on. I have seen some successful ones getting great businesses, especially those in the food and lifestyle categories. Try setting up your complete business profile and gather as many fans as possible. Please remember that interaction is very important as no fans would want to be totally ignored.

Another great way would be to attach your website/blog address in whatever emails you send out. That would create awareness within your contact list on your scope of business, thus you might get additional businesses from them or their friends. Networking is still the best way to gain more business!

You could also consider producing some appreciation giveaways to your readers and loyal supporters. Those items might not necessarily be expensive as you can get some custom koozies or even a car sticker with your website printed on. Do get involve in sponsorship of whatsoever for some of your produced giveaways. That would give you that extra free mileage for your company.

There are so many other ways you can promote your businesses but towards the end of the day, it would still lie back to your own time, budget, effort and commitment.

IT IS TIME FOR ANOTHER GREAT JAPANESE FOOD FEASTING

COUNTERDISPLAY

Japanese cuisine has always been my favorite especially those unique seafood flown in from Japan. During one of my visits to one of the major Japanese restaurants over here, I saw some colorful brochures being arranged systematically over their counter displays. Gosh! That approximately 1kg Asahi Kani (crab) is huge. Never have I seen something so big and delicious in my life. With that size, I would think that there would be a lot of chunky crab meat to meet with my appetite.

They were also some red and juicy Aka Ebi (red prawns) being promoted too. Just look at the freshness of the prawns. I’ll bet 10 prawns would not be enough for me. Hmm… maybe I should order some vegetable tempura and sushi as well.

As for dessert, you should try out the tempura ice cream. During each of my visit there, I would not miss this dish. It had a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream, coated with crushed peanuts, dipped into tempura batter and deep fried until perfection. This cold and hot dessert would then be garnished with some sweetened red bean paste. One bite and I can assure you that you would want more. Speaking about how good it is, I think I would just drive over there now to savor my favorite dessert.

RUGSMATS

Do you know how you could enhance the feel in a new environment when you have quite a few antique pieces that you had collected during the past years? Antique collection can be a fun and fashionable pastime but most of the time we have the tendency to collect so many that they made the whole place looked too cluttered. Well, this might make your visitors quite unimpressed if you do not have any idea of blending them off with some relevant furniture and fitting.

Since most of these antiques would be in darker shades, it would be advisable to paint the walls in lighter shades and complement them with some pastel shades curtains and upholstery as these would be great canvas for antiques. Some cleverly placed mini spotlights would indeed be ideal and inexpensive for some effective accent lighting.

Complimenting colored rugs and door mats would surely blend in real well with your antiques collections. Do get some that are durable, resilient and resistant to soil and abrasion. These minor touches would be the perfect finishes for your decorative scheme and furniture style.
